Learning to paddle board is relatively easy with the proper instruction.
We will give you the skills, knowledge and confidence that you need to get to your feet and paddle like a pro!
Guided Coastal Paddleboarding Cruise
Explore the Coastline !
SUP is the ideal way to explore our coast line. It offers a much higher view point then if you were sitting in a kayak, giving you a unique view of the ocean and landscape around you.
On our coastal cruises we will take you along the incredible coastline of the Burren. You’ll get to witness the sea life underneath you, cruise alongside the seals basking on the rocks, and enjoy an amazing adventure along this incredible part of the Wild Atlantic Way. The Burren coastline is best seen and experienced from the water. Being in the heart of the Cliffs of Moher UNESCO Geopark, the area is home a huge variety of sea birds and sea life.
These tours are suitable for those who have done a lesson before and have some paddling experience. If you are looking to improve your SUP skills, our SUP coaches can give you tips on your paddling while taking you to explore our coastline a little further.
Guided SUP Rentals
Know how to paddle?
Guided rentals are suitable for those who have done a SUP lesson with ourselves or another accredited school.
Irish weather and sea conditions can be very unpredictable and the safety of our clients is very important to us. There is actually a lot more to stand up paddleboarding than just simply standing on a paddleboard and paddling.
Safety at sea also requires an in depth knowledge of the area, knowledge of tidal currents, winds and tides and how they affect the different parts of the coastline. This knowledge can take years to acquire. It’s also about having a means of calling for help, a first aid kit and lifesaving training should an unexpected event occur. For this reason, we at Bay SUP prefer to offer Guided Rentals. As well as safety, you can be assured that you will be paddling in the best location given the particular conditions of the day.
